Caroline is thrilled to be a member of the Idaho Breastfeeding Coalition Board of Directors. Caroline is drawn to the confluence of art and science in the work of lactation nursing. While studying psychology and education at the University of Colorado, Caroline worked as a research assistant studying physical activity, depression and the perinatal period. Caroline interned with the Children and Infant Program through Boulder County Mental Health and co-ran support groups for pregnant teens at a local high school. In 2015, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Idaho State University. She currently works in the Children's Specialty Center at St. Luke's as a Float Nurse and is a member of the Breastfeeding Task Force. Caroline is a fierce advocate for working mothers and is passionate about promoting access to lactation spaces in the work place so mothers are able to safely and conveniently provide food for their child while at work. Caroline completed her Certified Lactation Counselor training in April of 2017. Caroline looks forward to working toward her IBCLC in the near future.
