Dena Duran 

Dena is honored to join the Idaho Breastfeeding Coalition Board and looks forward to helping make a difference in breastfeeding support for families in Idaho.  Also a singer and voice teacher, Dena has a long interest in the health and science fields.  She has had the pleasure of helping moms and babies and breastfeeding families as a La Leche League Leader since 2013 in New York City, New York, and now also in Idaho. She is an AAPL for LLL NY and a representative to the US Breastfeeding Committee for LLL Alliance for Breastfeeding Education and Support. Having grown up in the small town of Riggins, Idaho, she is especially interested in increasing support for rural areas as well as other projects such as breastfeeding research and increasing HCP education in breastfeeding.  Dena is thankful for her supportive husband, Jason and their two wonderful girls, Sophia and Sabrina: joyous, bright lights, both started on the amazing, normal first food and relationship of breastfeeding.
