MARY KAY KLEIN

Mary Kay Klein, MPH -Maternal and Child Health, IBCLC, has been a board certified lactation consultant since 1996.  From 1998 until 2002, she was a lactation consultant with the Sanvita/CDC Corporate Lactation Program at NIOSH, and a Clinical Faculty Member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at West Virginia University School of Medicine.  In this capacity she collaborated with faculty, residents and medical students regarding breastfeeding issues, as well as provided in services to hospital employees working with mother/baby dyads in the inpatient and outpatient settings. She established a follow-up clinic post-discharge, as well as directed a bi-monthly breastfeeding support group.  Upon arriving in Idaho, Mary Kay has primarily focused on the raising of her three now-grown children as well as volunteering within the world of Maternal and Child Health at the Idaho Breastfeeding Coalition, the Idaho Diaper Bank and Birthright of Boise. She enjoys spending time with her husband, reading, traveling and listening to her favorite podcasts!
