Presenter Bios

Constance Pond

Constance Pond, IBCLC, M.S. Occupational Therapy, Tufts University, B.A. Indiana University, B.A. Dedicated to promoting healthy nutrition for parents and babies, Constance is in private practice in New York City, where she resides, helping families attain their feeding goals. She is a volunteer with La Leche League as a means of expanding the reach of helping as many families as possible. Constance designed and teaches a course for LLL Leader Applicants on the basics of lactation and understanding when to refer. She works in various capacities with Leader Applicants with an eye toward diversity and inclusivity. Constance is a member of the Board of Directors at Winston Preparatory School, a school for students who are neurodivergent. Proud mama of two sons and a daughter-in-love, Constance also is an avid jogger. The Quality Improvement Study was designed, in collaboration with Dena, to provide support and information to those who would otherwise not receive it.


Dena Duran

IBC board member Dena Duran, B. Mus, University of Idaho, M. Mus., Arizona State University, is a biomolecular sciences masters candidate at BSU and volunteers with La Leche League (LLL), helping moms and babies in Idaho and (virtually) in New York City as well as volunteering at the national level in LLL Alliance and as a representative to the US Breastfeeding Committee.  Dena is thankful for her wider family (hi, Mom!) and friends and her loving, supportive husband, Jason – always encouraging of her quests to know more and share with others, and their two wonderful girls, Sophia and Sabrina – joyous, bright lights, both started on the amazing, normal infant food and relationship of breastfeeding.
