7th Annual Idaho Breastfeeding Summit

The 2024 Idaho Breastfeeding Summit will be held in Twin Falls Idaho, on the College of Southern Idaho campus, Herrett Center of the Arts.  This exceptional educational two-day event, themed Tools of the Trade for Breastfeeding Success, will help us look at our current state of breastfeeding support in Idaho, explore best practice, and discuss barriers to breastfeeding in our communities.  We hope attendees leave inspired and motivated to make change in their practice by applying the knowledge and skills learned, continuing to strengthen and build partnerships in their communities.                                                                           

Keynote Speakers to discuss the Tools of the Trade for Breastfeeding Success are Amy Peterson and Mindy Harmer of Breast and Bottle, and Alison Tolman of New Little Life.

This years Highlight Idaho Speakers include: Shelly McGuire from the University of Idaho, Andrea Rasmessen from the Idaho Department of Labor, Dr. Ryan Turner of Turner Pediatrics and Dr. Lon McCrae of Breathe Airway.  

We will be submitting applications for continuing education for Lactation, Nursing and Dietitians. 

For the first time, the IBC will also offer a Meet and Great event on Wednesday before the Summit to meet and mingle with other breastfeeding advocates from around the state. Hope you will join us!
